Short story is almost finished.  Wrote some at the coffee shop (Barry's Espresso) across the street this morning and then headed home to write some more.  You'll note the ants around the laptop screen.  We've been having some fun with stickers around here by giving myself an ant each day I write.  I also have ninja stickers, really cool ninja stickers.  A little more expensive, too.  They shall be used for special milestones, like finishing a novel or something.

The short story is for a workshop with Asimov's editor Shelia Williams.  It'll be at the coast in September with Dean Wesley Smith and Kris Rusch.

Morning writing has been going well.  I've been getting up at four am (that's a lot like kenscholes) to write before work at 7:30.  Some mornings I've had trouble getting up, like Mondays--I find it hard to get to bed at an early hour on Sunday after a weekend off from work.
